Green Hills
Green Hills has always been a bright place filled with palm trees and beautiful sunflowers. The sun hardly ever went down, the night would usually only last a few hours. Pure water dribbled down from the hilltop and ran into a river. The wind softly blew the leaves of the trees and the clouds in the sky moved slowly with the sun. This place was almost a piece of heaven.
"You see mom?! Nobody can catch me!" exclaimed Sonic.
"Sonic! Be careful, people will do anything to take your powers." Aleena shouted.
Sonic continued speeding ahead, and stuffed a chili dog in his mouth whilst running. He ran past the waterfalls and splashed a bit of mud behind him. Sonic ran like the wind. He is ready for any adventure but he hasn't yet been tested.
Prison Island
"I don't have much longer to live. Would you continue to fulfill my duties?" asked Gerald Robotnik.
"Happily! Anything for our cause sir." replied Ivo Robotnik.
"Good. Then I need Sleet and Dingo to capture as many animals as possible. After that, you will need to use my mechanism to transform them into badniks. The most important thing to get right is 'mind control'. You must have all creatures on my side. Don't worry, it shouldn't be so difficult... Most of them won't have a clue what we're doing to them."
"As you command Dr. Gerald Robotnik. I will have Sleet and Dingo on the lookout right away."
On the other side of Gerald's room was Maria's room. Maria stood close to the wall and tried to hear Robotnik's plans. When she heard that he wanted to capture innocent animals, she dropped onto the floor.
"Maria!" Shadow shouted.
Shadow grabbed a hold of Maria's arm and pulled her up.
"What happened?" he asked.
"Dr. Gerald Robotnik wants to capture all of the innocent animals and turn them into robots! Shadow, Shadow... You have to stop him..." Maria replied afraid.
"Don't worry Maria. I will never let injustice to happen."
"I know Shadow, I know."
Ivo left Gerald's room and headed for the main department.
"Sleet, Dingo! I will send you away to Green Hills in a cargoship. Gerald has ordered you to capture all of the animals across that Island."
Sleet replied, "Of course sir. But why are we beginning with Green Hills?"
"This will be an easy target. Now just do as you're told!"
"Yes sir!" Sleet shouted.
Sleet and Dingo quickly ran to the exit and hopped in one of Gerald's many cargoships. They headed west for Green Hills.
Dingo said, "This should be easy with the technology of Dr. Gerald."
Sleet replied, "Let's not be too confident. Anything can happen so we must be prepared."
Prison Island
"Granddad! Are you alright?" Maria asked.
"I am my dear. I just have a little cold."
"Let me get you some water-"
"No, no, no! There's not need, I'm fine." Gerald replied quickly.
"Grandfather... You won't use your bots to destroy this place will you? You know all I ever wanted to do was travel the world."
"Don't worry. When I rule the world and there's nobody to get in our way, you'll have everything you need to travel the entire universe!"
"But Granddad... Why do you want to rule the world?-"
"Maria! Enough! You should be happy that I'm willing to do anything for you!" Gerald screamed in a stern tone.
"Maria! Enough! You should be happy that I'm willing to do anything for you!" Gerald screamed in a stern tone.
Maria shied away and left her Grandfather's room. Shadow walked out from behind a wall.
"So... What did he say?" asked Shadow.
"I can't say anything to him! He's ignorant to what I say! From now on, I only have you Shadow. You have to stop this. I don't care if anything happens to me."
Shadow nodded and then turned away.
Green Hills
Sleet and Dingo had arrived at Green Hills at last. Sleet used his bare hands to grab the small animals.
"You're not getting away little bird!" shouted Dingo.
Sleet had the cargoship parked up. Dingo brought a few animals at a time into the ship. Sleet locked them up into cages.
Sonic hid behind a palm tree and watched as Sleet and Dingo captured the animals.
Sonic gasped and said, "Wuh-oh, that's no good!"
In no time, Sleet and Dingo had complete their mission, then they flew away in the cargoship.
"Where are they taking those poor things? Who do they think they are!? I can't wait! I'm gonna have to follow them right away!"
Sonic ran in the direction of the cargoship. Lucky for him, it was easy to keep up.
Dingo could spot Sonic from the cargoship window. He looked below and tried to figure out what it was following them.
"What is that?" Dingo asked out of curiosity.
"Hm, I don't know. It looks strange, doesn't it?" Sleet replied.
"Certainly!"
As the cargoship increased its speed, Sonic also began to run faster. Eventually, Sonic was led to Prison Island.
"Wow, this place is darker than the night! Wonder what kind of troubles are here..."
Sleet pressed a red button to open the doors of the entrance. When the doors opened, Sonic swiftly dashed in too from behind. He skidded when he came to the end of the room. Sleet and Dingo looked at Sonic in confusion.
Dingo said, "Oh look! We've got a big one to capture now!"
"Indeed!" Sleet replied.
"That is, if you can catch me!" Sonic shouted.
Unfortunately for Sonic, Dr. Ivo Robotnik was flying above him in his egg-mobile. Robotnik dropped a large net over Sonic from above.
"Ha, ha, ha, ha! No animal escapes the wrath of Robotnik!"
Sonic tried to escape but he was trapped from every side.
"You won't get away with this!" exclaimed Sonic.
"Oh young child, you have no idea what kind of place you've ran into."
Green Hills
"Oh... Where is this boy?"
Aleena thought to herself. Aleena was worried so much about Sonic. He'd usually return in a flash. Every second that he was away was torturing Aleena.
