Chemical Plant
Sonic is on the run once again to save the animals from Dr. Ivo Robotnik. He ran first through his home island, Green Hills, but then he was led to other places too. The Tornado was left parked whilst Sonic was on his mission.
"Water!!?" He shouted.
Sonic had come to a place called Chemical Plant. Chemical Plant was filled with water below the 'moving' paths, and tight pipes. He realised that the rings he collected were helping him to survive. Now his only aim was to make sure he didn't lose all of his rings, otherwise, it's game over. Once Sonic had overcome his fear of setting foot into the water, he had found a chaos emerald.
"What is this mysterious-looking gem?" he said to himself.
"Oh! This must be one of those chaos emeralds that mom was talking about!"
Sonic was unaware, but he was being followed by Fang the Sniper. Now that Fang saw that Sonic had found a chaos emerald, he could profit from purchasing it from Sonic. Fang aproached Sonic in his small vehicle.
"Hey!" Fang yelled.
"Huh?" said Sonic.
"Stop kid, stop!"
Sonic skidded. He stopped for Fang and turned around to find out what he wanted.
"I have a deal to make with you kid."
Sonic, "?"
"I'm oh so loaded with rings. These rings, they give you life, they'll help you through your adventure. Whereas that gem you have, that is only something to look at." Fang said.
"So..."
"So if I pay you ten golden rings, you will give me that green gem, will you not?"
Flashback
Sonic began to recall what his mother Aleena told him about the rings. He remembered that they increase his health. Sonic believed the rings were more valuable than one gem.
Chemical Plant
"DEAL!" Sonic quickly yelled.
Sonic first handed over his chaos emerald to Fang, and then Fang very quickly and unexpectedly ran off with it without giving ten rings.
"Hey! Get back here!"
Fang swiftly jumped into his flying vehicle. He purposely crashed into Sonic's Tornado just out of annoyance. Then he flew away.
Sonic chased after Fang by following his footsteps. Soon, he got to his plane.
"Oh no! Tornado!" Sonic screamed.
The propeller of the plane was damaged. Sonic needed to bring it back to Green Hills, however, he had no idea how to repair it. He was afraid that his mom would be mad with him. Luckily for Sonic, Robotnik had left enemies in small auto-mobiles. All Sonic had to do was destroy the enemy, and then he could drive inside the vehicle. So Sonic bounced off the top of the enemy, set the animal free, and hopped inside of the auto-moble. He attached the Tornado to the back to bring it back to Green Hills.
Sunset Park
Fang was making his way to Robotnik's lair at Prison Island. Fang planned to sell the chaos emerald to Dr. Robotnik for as much rings as possible. Even Fang didn't know the true power of the chaos emeralds. Fang wants to trade as much things as he can to earn more rings.
Green Hills
Sonic arrived home in one of Robotnik's auto-mobiles. When Aleena saw him in the distance, he thought that he was a badnik because of what he was driving in.
Aleena gasped, "Die badnik!"
"Stop mom! It's just me!" Sonic replied.
"Oh. What are you doing in Robotnik's vehicle? Did you save all the animals?"
"I'd say I saved most of them... until something really terrible happened."
"What happened Sonic?" she asked.
"The chaos emerald! A guy said he'd do trade with me. He wanted the chaos emerald if he'd lend ten rings. However, I gave him the emerald first and then he didn't hand me the rings!"
"Sonic! Didn't I tell you that those gems are so powerful?! Ten rings is a rip off, but zero is a joke!"
"That's not it mom. It gets worse. The Tornado's propeller is broken. Do you know how to fix it?"
"You broke your father's plane already?! Sonic! That was the only thing he left, are you crazy to brake it like that? I thought you were mature enough to take care of it!"
"Sorry mom, but I had to leave it whilst I freed the animals, don't you see?"
"I'm very disappointed in you Sonic! Firstly you go out on dangerous adventures without informing me, secondly you don't remember anything I tell you about these chaos emeralds and thirdly you broke the Tornado?! Go for a sleep young child! You're making too many mistakes, TOO MANY!"
