Prison Island
"Do you really believe I would do that!?" Sonic asked.
"YES! And I've seen it for sure!" Knuckles yelled.
Knuckles climbed along the side walls and jumped off from it to attack Sonic. Sonic slid under Knuckles, and then spin dashed towards him. Knuckles took a blow from Sonic's dash, but then he began to glide above him. Meanwhile, Robotnik had disappeared from the scene and ran off to another part of the building.
Chemical Plant
Robotnik had complete his ultimate creation, Metal Sonic. Robotnik had sent Metal Sonic out to cause rampage whilst Sonic was occupied battling against Knuckles. But as Metal Sonic was leaving, Tails sneakily followed from behind. Metal Sonic was heading for Chemical Plant and Tails was pretty sure he was up to no good. Tails watched as Metal Sonic was collecting small animals for Robotnik, and he was destroying all objects in his path. But when Metal Sonic kidnapped a young girl, Tails had had enough. At this point, Tails quickly flew away to go and report this to Sonic. So he made his way back to Prison Island in the Tornado.
Prison Island
"Do you believe what any random stranger tells you? You must be crazy!" Sonic said.
"I thought I might have been crazy until they proved to me that you are after the master emerald. If you didn't want to steal it from me, then why did you come to the location of it?!" Knuckles asked.
"No, no. That's not how it is. Robotnik is trying to destroy this place, that's why I attacked his base!"
"Ha! Like I'm going to believe that! What, do you come to his lair every single day?!"
"No! But I decided to come now because it was a better time."
"Why? Because my precious emerald was here? That's why it was a better time to come?!"
"No! It was an ideal time to come because some of Robotnik's swatbots were somewhere else meaning it would be easier to defeat him."
"You really think I'm going to buy that trash! I am deaf to anything you say, hedgehog!" Knuckles exclaimed.
"If that is so, then you'll never hear the truth!"
"Well it's not my fault I don't have ears." Knuckles replied.
"Do you want me write it down for you? Or do you not have eyes to read either?"
"I haven't got anything for you except these FISTS!"
"Okay then, bring it on!" Sonic shouted.
But then, all of a sudden, Tails arrived huffing and puffing.
"Sonic!" Tails yelled.
"What's going on Tails? We were about to have an epic moment here!" Sonic replied.
"Robotnik." Tails said.
"Oh what's he up to now?!" Sonic shouted.
"He's sent that new robot to Chemical Plant. That robot is kidnapping animals and destroying everything! You really need to go there, immediately!"
"Uggghhh! Well, as much as I dislike ditching a battle, I can't leave anyone in danger! See ya' later red dude!" Sonic exclaimed.
"My name is Knuckles and you're not getting away from me, Sonic!"
Sonic dashed off and headed in a straight direction leading to Chemical Plant. He had to get there fast because Metal Sonic was causing a huge disaster. Sonic wouldn't want Metal Sonic to make it to Green Hills.
"C'mon Tails, let's go!" Sonic shouted.
Sonic and Tails pulled ahead, as Knuckles slowly chased them. No matter how hard Knuckles tried, he couldn't keep up with them.
Chemical Plant
"Let go of me! Let go!" Amy cried.
Metal Sonic kept a tight hold of Amy's arm. But then, Sonic and Tails had arrived in a flash.
"Not so fast!" Sonic yelled.
Metal Sonic dropped Amy violently and got ready to battle Sonic.
"Oh! So you wanna have a fight huh? Well, I'm always up for a challenge!"
Metal Sonic quickly blasted into Sonic. Sonic got knocked to the ground in a nano second.
"Wah? I wasn't expecting you to be that fast!" Sonic said.
"Never underestimate your enemy!" Tails replied.
Meanwhile, Amy was stood to the side watching. She stared at Sonic the whole time, and began to daydream.
Sonic quickly risen back up and immediately went to attack Metal Sonic. Metal Sonic was agile, and swiftly dodged Sonic as he attacked. Sonic used his abilities to run up a wall, then he quickly leaped off and grabbed onto Metal Sonic's head. In the mean time, Tails was lurking behind, and picked up a bucket of water. Then, whilst Sonic was holding Metal Sonic still, Tails splashed water from the bucket onto Metal Sonic's face. Metal Sonic began to have a spasm, and flopped on the ground with electric sparks coming out from his ears. Sonic high-fived Tails, celebrating his victory.
"Way to go Tails!"
"Thanks Sonic." Tails replied.
Then Amy jumped straight in. She walked up to Sonic and started to walk around him. She stared at him so much that it started to get creepy.
"What happened? Did you see a ghost?" Sonic asked.
But Amy didn't answer as she continued gazing.
"I'm speaking to you!" Sonic shouted.
"Oh! Were you talking to me?!" Amy asked surprised.
"Yes, you. What's the problem?" Sonic asked.
"Oh, I don't have a problem... Not now that I've seen you!" Amy excitedly said.
Suddenly, Amy gave to give Sonic a cuddle but Sonic pushed her away immediately.
Sonic said, "A bit inappropriate, don't ya' think?"
"I'm sorry." Amy replied.
Tails exclaimed, "C'mon, we haven't got time! I can see that Knuckles guy from here!"
"Knuckles?!" Sonic shouted.
Knuckles arrived at Chemical Plant in a mini cargoship. At last, he had caught up with Sonic. He hopped out of his cargoship and landed on his two feet.
"You're not getting away Sonic!"
"Who is this loser?" Amy asked.
Knuckles buts in, "And who is this weirdo who judges people before getting to know them?"
"Hey!" Amy yelled.
Tails said, "I don't know... What is your name?"
"I'm Amy Rose." she said.
"So, you still think I'm after that Emerald? Oh man..." Sonic said.
"I don't think, I know!" Knuckles shouted.
Sonic said, "Have you even thought about this Knuckles? Why would I want that Emerald? If I wanted it, I would taken it a long time ago..."
"This is how arrogant you are! You think that you would have been able to take it 'a long time ago'! Well, I wouldn't have let that happen!!!" Knuckles yelled.
"Oh yeah? What about right now? Are you even aware that you've left the Master Emerald in Robotnik's lab?! They're the ones who want it, that's why they told you to bring it to Prison Island - Probably so Robotnik could experiment with it!"
"RGGHHH!!!" Knuckles shouted at the top of his voice.
Knuckles turned around and hopped back into his vehicle. He hovered away in it, and headed back for Prison Island.
Green Hills
"Hi mom!" Sonic exclaimed happily.
"Oh Sonic! You're back! My boy, where have you been this time?" Aleena asked.
"I had some things to ask you about." Sonic said.
"Go ahead." She replied.
"There's this guy who is a guardian over something called the 'Master Emerald'. He says that I want to steal it from him even though I don't..."
"Master Emerald? Hmm... Do you know this guy's name?"
"He calls himself Knuckles, but I like to call him Knucklehead."
"Knuckles!!?"
"Huh? Do you know of him mom? What's the shocked reaction about?"
"I entrusted the Master Emerald to him as well as his friend June. Don't be harsh on him Sonic..."
"Huh? Why wouldn't you entrust it to me?"
"You were only very young when we needed a new guardian for the Master Emerald. Besides, protecting your powers is enough for you..."
"So you say I should respect this Knuckles guy? What if I told you that he is collaborating with Dr. Robotnik?"
"Robotnik? Oh no Sonic! If the Master Emerald is in the hands of Robotnik, then you and Knuckles must stop him now!"
"Alright mom! If you say so!"
"And who's this young lady?" Aleena asked.
"My name's Amy Rose."
Sonic turned away pulling a disgusted face. Tails sniggers.
