Prison Island
"That could have gone better." Sleet said.
"Don't worry. I have more things planned." Robotnik replied.
Dingo was curious, he looked at Robotnik confused.
"Knuckles is currently in Green Hills which means all citizens in Angel Island will be vulnerable. Whilst they're at Greens Hills, we should attack Angel Island." Robotnik stated.
"Is there anything specifically you'd want us to do?" Sleet asked.
"Yes. Knuckles will pay a heavy price for saving that pest called Sonic. I want you and Dingo to go right away and burn the whole of Angel Island." Robotnik said.
"BURN IT??!" Sleet and Dingo exclaimed.
"Yes. We have no mercy on traitors like Knuckles!"
Sleet and Dingo used one of Robotnik's most advanced and quick cargoships to make their way to Angel Island.
They both jumped into the cargoship and set off right away.
Green Hills
"I thought you said you were leaving." Sonic said.
"Nah, I think me and June'll stay a while. Besides, it's been a long time since I saw your mom."
"I didn't even know about this! Mom never told me! When did she give the Master Emerald to you?"
"It was years back. When you and your siblings were just born, I was a small kid and mom entrusted June's father Luger with the Master Emerald. Now that I'm old enough, I can take care of it." Knuckles said.
"Cool! It turns out that you and I are linked in a strange way!" Sonic said.
"To be honest, I'm kind of thankful about that. We should both work as a team to defeat this maniac Robotnik."
"No, you got that wrong - it's RobBUTTnik!" Sonic shouted.
"Right. Yeah..." Knuckles said.
Meanwhile, on the other end of Green Hills, Aleena was sitting with June and Amy.
"Oh June! I still can't believe how much you've changed!" Aleena exclaimed happily.
"Well, what can I say... It's been too long... Hey, who is this?" June asked.
"She's called Amy. Sonic and his friend Tails rescued her from one of Robotnik's robots." Aleena answered.
"Hi June." Amy said.
"Uh... Hi? What's your deal, why are you here?" June replied.
"I'm here because I have nowhere else to stay. This is my home now." Amy said.
"Where were you before this then?" June asked.
"What's it gotta do with you? I can stay here if I like! Besides, I'm Sonic's lover!" Amy asked.
"I doubt it! I never see him with you-" June exclaimed.
"Stop the arguing girls! Have some dignity! And Amy, STOP FOLLOWING MY SON!" Aleena shouted.
June and Amy were silenced by Aleena's yell. They looked at each other and turned way. Then, Amy walked away in a strop. June turns back to Aleena to speak with her.
"Does Sonic love her?! She's insane!" June exclaimed.
"No, my son doesn't love her. Yet she follows him everywhere. She's invading his privacy." Aleena replied.
"He won't tolerate that. Why do you let her stay?" June asked.
Aleena replies, "Well, she's not malicious and she has nowhere else to stay. It would be wrong of us to abandon an innocent girl, even though she could be considered a stalker."
"Well, I guess you're right. Maybe she'll learn. Sonic will never love her like this." June said.
"Shh! Sonic won't ever love her! He's still a young boy - cut the love talk." Aleena said.
June nodded her head.
Angel Island
Sleet and Dingo were rampaging in Angel Island. They lit up some fire sticks and burned the whole place down. They sent out Swatbots to attack anybody, even innocents.
Soon, Sleet had found the location of Luger, June's father. When he saw him vulnerable, alone, he aimed a weapon at him and took his life away before Luger could even scream for help.
After Sleet and Dingo had fulfilled their duty given by Robotnik, they headed back for Prison Island in their cargoships. Citizens screamed for help but they were all too late to save themselves. This attack led to that Echidna kind to become extinct except for Knuckles and his close friend June.
Green Hills
"Well, me and June really have to leave now. Luger might get suspicious of us staying the whole night here." Knuckles said.
"If you say so Knuckles." Sonic replied.
"Bye Aleena Mother! I hope to see you again soon!" June exclaimed.
"Take care children. And be careful, the road is long and painful." Aleena said.
Knuckles replied, "Thankfully, we are all strong enough to endure such pain."
"I hope so." Sonic said.
Knuckles and June nodded, then they turned away and leaped into their cargoship. They went North and headed in the direction of Angel Island.
Angel Island
Eventually, Knuckles and June arrived at Angel Island. Firstly, their mouths opened wide as they were incredibly shocked by the huge fire. The fire was spreading rapidly and getting closer to them.
"What is going on here!?" Knuckles shouted.
June straight away began to think of her father.
"Father. Father! Where's Luger Father?!" June asked at the top of her voice.
"We need to look for him." Knuckles said.
Soon, June sees Luger's corpse through the flames. She couldn't drag his body out because the fire was burning like crazy.
"LUGER!!!" June yelled.
Knuckles put his head down in despair.
June yelled again, "LUGER!!!"
June shed many tears. Her tears ran down her face and dropped onto the Master Emerald that Knuckles was holding.
"Relax June. Don't cry..." Knuckles said.
June replied, "How can I not?! My father is gone, GONE!"
"But you must stand up tall. It looks like so many have lost their lives; not just Luger. If you be strong, nobody will fall down."
June wiped her tears and lifted her head up.
She said, "So, what shall we do now?"
Knuckles replied, "Let's get help from Sonic. Perhaps Aleena could call Manic, Sonia and Scourge to come and help us out too."
"What about this place? What can we do about it?" she asked.
"Sometimes June, you just gotta learn to let go. I hate to say this but... We might not be able to stay here anymore..."
June shook her head and then looked down.
Knuckles said, "Don't be in despair June. You're entrusted to me by your father. I won't let anything happen to you."
"I trust you Knuckles, I always have and I always will." June said.
Knuckles and June got back into the cargoship and lifted off.
"We've got to get back to Green Hills, quick!" Knuckles shouted.
"I'm a quick driver, don't worry. What worse could Robotnik possibly do than this?" June said.
Knuckles sighed.
"Who killed my father, who?!" She asked Knuckles.
"This can't be anyone but Robotnik. He's the only one who could've done this." Knuckles said.
"We're taking a turn." June stears the wheel and headed for Prison Island instead.
"Wait, what are you doing?!" Knuckles asked.
"I'm going to Robuttnik's lab. I've had enough!" she yelled.
Knuckles sighed again.
"I can't control you; you're wild." he said.
